Cameroon: 30.4% of native companies upped their social media advertising and marketing operations on account of Covid-19 (survey)

That is the conclusion of a report lately printed by the Nationwide Institute of Statistics (INS) detailing the outcomes of a survey it carried out to make clear the socioeconomic impacts of the coronavirus pandemic within the nation in 2021. 

In response to the report, The businesses involved are primarily massive enterprises (35.3% of the surveyed), SMEs (35.4% of the surveyed), and casual actors (19.3% of the surveyed). 

E-commerce adoption additionally adopted an upward pattern in the course of the pandemic, which reached its peak in 2020. Certainly, based on the INS survey, over three out of ten firms reported they elevated the frequency of their use of digital platforms for e-commerce functions.   

This pattern, which boosted the operations of ICT firms within the nation, was extra pronounced relating to massive enterprises (38.2%) and medium-sized firms (36.9%), the INS report reveals.
